TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2002 A federal appeals court is considering two appeals for the Cayuga Nation of New York land claim. The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals will decide if two counties and 7,000 private landowners can join the claim. The court is also considering whether it will take a federal judge's decision to award $247.9 million in damages and interest to the tribe for 64,000 acres of land. Get the Story:
