Women now half of AIDS cases worldwide

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2002 About 42 million people worldwide are living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the virus that causes AIDS, the United Nations and World Health Organization said on Tuesday, and nearly half of the cases are women. The organizations released their annual report on HIV/AIDS. They said the disease has grown to affect more women in sub-Saharan Africa and Western Europe. Get the Story:
