Gaming interests give to N.M. gov-elect

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2002 The horse track industry donated at least $296,500 to the campaign of New Mexico governor elect Bill Richardson (D), the Associated Press reported. Two horse-racing tracks / casinos gave more than $130,000. Investors in tracks gave at least $70,000. Richardson will be appointing new members of the state Racing Commission, which determines who gets licenses. Sandia Pueblo, which owns a casino, donated $50,000 in cash and $7,148 in goods and services. Get the Story:
