Washoe Tribe to receive land at lake

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2002 The Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California would receive 24 acres of land at Lake Tahoe under a bill near final Congressional approval. The Senate on Wednesday approved the exchange. The bill prohibits commercial, residential or recreational development. Get the Story:
