Conn. lawmakers hope to stop new casinos

Republican leaders in the Connecticut Legislature might convene hearings next year in an attempt to limit new tribal casinos, The Norwich Bulletin reports.

The goal is to repeal the so-called "Vegas Nights" law. The law paved the way for Class III gaming in the state so the thinking is newly recognized tribes won't be able to open casinos.
