Tribal college focuses on diabetes

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2002 Researchers and students at Dine College are focusing on a "pandemic" of diabetes on the Navajo Nation. The researchers recently presented some of their findings at the fifth annual Community Research Conference, which brought together more than 200 people involved in diabetes care. Two anthropologists said families need to encourage healthy eating. Get the Story:
