Education stressed to Indian students

Humboldt State University held its annual American Indian College Motivation Day last week.

Nearly 300 high school students representing 15 tribes and 20 schools attended, The Eureka Times-Standard reported. They were told of the importance of education by tribal leaders, HSU students and Pulitzer Prize-winning author and playwright N. Scott Momaday.
