Mont. tribe goes to the polls

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2002 The Chippewa-Cree Tribe of Montana held an election on Tuesday. Unofficial results reported by The Great Falls Tribune showed tribal council member Jonathan Windy Boy and vice chairman Bruce Sun Child Sr. with the most votes. Two new challengers followed. Windy Boy, a Democrat, is also running for a state House seat. He was winning the race, the paper reported. Get the Story:
