Tribes donate more to GOP this time

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2002 Tribes gave more of their money to Republican interests than previous election cycles, Gannett News Service reports. Citing Federal Election Commission and other data as of October 22, Gannett said 55 percent of tribal donations went to the GOP. This was up from the 21 percent tribes gave to Republicans in 2000, which included the presidential election. "Mohegan is blind to party lines," said Mohegan tribal official. Get the Story:
