FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2002 A Navajo Nation chapter government has been trying to close its local Boys and Girls Club, The Farmington Daily-Times reported. The Nageezi Boys and Girls Club opened in January 2001. A chapter leader says the club hasn't made renovations and isn't teaching traditional culture. The Nazgeezi club is part of the Boys and Girls Club of the Navajo Nation. The tribe oversees all the clubs on the reservation and won't let the Nageezi chapter run its club independently.
