Navajo college cites funding crunch

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2002 Navajo Nation lawmakers are considering two bills to pump much needed funds into Dine College, a tribal college located on the Navajo Reservation. One bill would provide an additional $2.2 million. The money would help prevent layoffs at two of the five campuses, according to the college. Another bill provides $1.5 million to the school's scholarship program. Get the Story:
