A California state commission wants permission to add new charges to its suit against the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians.

The Fair Political Practices Commission alleges the tribe failed to report a recent $125,000 campaign contribution. The board included a copy of the check, complete with bank number and account of the tribe, with its amended complaint.

The suit already claims the tribe was slow to report more than $7 million. The tribe believes it is protected by its sovereignty.
