Tribes foes finalize cooperation plan

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2002 The Nez Perce Tribe and a group of local governments and school district are finalizing an agreement on how to resolve their disputes. A group called the North Central Idaho Jurisdictional Alliance has opposed tribal jurisdiction, tribal authority over non-Indians and water rights claims. It also supported a court case that alleged the Nez Perce Reservation has been diminished. Get the Story:
