Navajo council member to be extradited

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2002 Navajo Nation police on Tuesday arrested a council delegate with orders to extradite him to the state of New Mexico. Johnny Begay faces state felony charges of larceny of livestock and unlawful branding. He was booked in tribal court and awaits action. He may face tribal charges, The Farmington Daily-Times reports. Begay represents the Cove and Red Valley chapter houses in Arizona. Get the Story:
