FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2002

Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) has placed a hold on a bill to change how allotments belonging to members of the Five Civilized Nations are handled.

Concerns have been raised by the oil and gas industry, according to Inhofe. He said there are "unresolved questions" about the legislation, which had just been approved without objection by the Senate Indian Affairs Committee on Wednesday, on which Inhofe sits.
