Blackfeet Tribe allows non-Indian grazing

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2002 The Blackfeet Nation tribal council voted to allow non-Indians to graze cattle on tribal land. The council reversed a decision that banned summer grazing on a reported 500,000 to 600,000 acres of land. That policy was said to hurt Indians and non-Indians alike. Get the Story:
