Indian astronaut set for space flight

Barring additional delays, the first American Indian will go into space in early November.

John Herrington is a member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. He plans to take eagle feathers with him on the space shuttle Endeavour and to the International Space Station.

The shuttle launch has been delayed twice. The new departure date will either be November 2, 9 or 11.
