Pataki tribe welcome land claim ruling

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2002 New York Gov. George Pataki (R) and the Oneida Nation of New York are praising a ruling that dismisses a new round of land claim lawsuits. Pataki and the New York Oneidas opposed the litigation. They also want the settle the 250,000-acre land claim without consulting the other tribal plaintiffs. Get the Story:
