A crowded field runs for council

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2002 At least 17 members of the Southern Ute Tribe of Colorado are running for three seats on the tribal council. The field includes Clement Frost, former vice-chairman of the council. He resigned last week and gave no explanation but now says he will run for chairman. The current chairman is Leonard C. Burch, whose term is up in November. He recently pleaded guilty to drunk driving. Get the Story:
