Lumbee woman restored beauty crown

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2002 A North Carolina state judge on Wednesday restored the state's beauty crown to a member of the Lumbee Tribe. Rebekah Revels, 24, had been forced to step down because of pictures taken by her ex-boyfriend. She may or may not be able to compete in the Miss America pageant. The runner-up, Misty Clymer, has filed suit to be declared the winner. Get the Story:
