Murkowski promises village safety aid

FRIDAY, AUGUST 30, 2002 Sen. Frank Murkowski (R-Alaska) is promising to focus on village safety if he is elected governor of Alaska. Murkowski laid out some of his health and safety agenda at a speech yesterday. He said he would push for more village public safety officers and get tough on bootleggers in dry villages. He also said he would target substance abuse and suicide. Get the Story:
