Ousted Seminole chief to repay tribe

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21, 2002 Ex-Seminole chief Jim Billie has agreed to pay his Florida tribe $169,000 to settle two lawsuits. Billie and his associates were accused of misusing hundreds of thousands of dollars in tribal funds. He was removed as chief in response to the financial scandals. Get the Story:
