WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 14, 2002 Luis Gonzales is seeking the Democratic nomination for Arizona's Congressional district 7. Gonzales is a former state lawmaker with close ties to several tribes. He worked for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and the Ak-Chin Maricopa Tribe, both of Arizona, and is currently employed by the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians of California. Gonzales is endorsed by the Colorado River Tribes, the Cocopah Tribe and various tribal leaders. Get the Story:
