Thompson makes promise to Alaska on health

MONDAY, AUGUST 5, 2002 Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson was in Alaska this past weekend to announce $15 million in health care grants. On Sunday, Thompson visited the Alaska Native Health Consortium in Anchorage along with Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska). He announced a study to determine Native participation in health programs. Thompson promises to visit Alaska every year. Get the Story:
