Ariz. tribe plans to sue for fire

FRIDAY, AUGUST 2, 2002 The White Mountain Apache Tribe of Arizona said it will sue a white woman who started a fire on the Fort Apache Reservation. The tribe says it will pursue civil charges against Valinda Jo Elliott. She started the "Rodeo" portion of the massive Rodeo-Chediski Fire that burned more than half of the reservation and turned into the worst in state history. Get the Story:
