Brian Burns is the new chief information officer for the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Burns came to the BIA from the Department of Health and Human Services. He replaces Dom Nessi, who left abruptly last summer in the midst of an investigation into computer security.

Burns started work last month. Assistant Secretary Neal McCaleb announced the filling of the post to Indianz.Com on June 4.
