A Nebraska state court will hold a trial next month to determine the validity of a voter petition that could expand gaming options for tribes.

The initiative, if approved, amends the state constitution to allow for video slot machines at bars, restaurants and racetracks. The change would allow tribes to offer similar games.

An anti-casino group says the petition is invalid.
