Bush pick comes under fire at hearing

WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 2002 The Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday held a hearing for Priscilla Owen, President Bush's pick to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Owen was questioned for her views on the bench as a Texas Supreme Court judge. Democrats said she inserted her personal views on abortion against a woman's right to choose in to her opinions. The 5th Circuit hears cases affecting tribes Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana. Get the Story:
