FRIDAY, JULY 12, 2002 The 2002 North American Indigenous Games takes place in Winnipeg, Canada, this month. The event is held every three years. It runs from July 25 to Aug. 4. More than 30 representatives of Connecticut tribes are attending. Chris Strickland, a member of the Mohegan Tribe, won the gold medal in the javelin toss in 1997. Get the Story:
