Okla. tribe seeks old Army site

WEDNESDAY, JULY 10, 2002 The Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma has filed a lawsuit to claim an old Army site in Kansas. The tribe claims the 9,000-acre Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant under 19th century treaties. The plan was recently the subject of a debate over a proposed Wizard of Oz theme park but the idea was dropped. Get the Story:
