Village man dies after police scuffle

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26, 2002 A man from an Inupiat Eskimo village in Alaska died in police custody on Tuesday. Albert Sheldon was involved in a scuffle with a village police officer in Ambler. The officer was responding to a domestic violence incident involving Sheldon. Sheldon suffered injuries after hitting his head on the ground during the scuffle. Get the Story:
