Miccosukee Tribe launches ad campaign

FRIDAY, JUNE 21, 2002 The Miccosukee Tribe of Florida is running ads in several newspapers, criticizing local officials for questioning recent land buys. The ads accuse water district officials of trying to portray the tribe as an obstacle to restoration of the Everglades. The Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel recently ran a story about the issue. The ads are set to run in newspapers in southern Florida and in The Washington Post. Get the Story:
