MONDAY, JUNE 10, 2002 Native Americans turned out to support a tribal member running for governor of South Dakota but not in large enough numbers to make a difference. The state lawmaker received 70 percent of the vote on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation, 57 percent on the Pine Ridge Reservation and 60 percent on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation.
