Mohawk chiefs accused of meddling

A group of Mohawk tribal members in New York are challenging the legitimacy of the three-chiefs form of government.

The federal court system has affirmed the traditional chiefs. But rivals charge the largest gaming company in the world had something to do with it, citing campaign contributions to Democrats during the Clinton administration.

The three chiefs have partnered with Park Place Entertainment to build a casino in the Catskills region of New York.
