Mont. governor fights the press

TUESDAY, MAY 21, 2002 It hasn't been a good year for Montana Gov. Judy Martz in terms of some touchy political and legal scandals. She's responding to some of the negative publicity by cutting off the press. While not mentioning any names, she says she will no longer grant personal interviews to some reporters. She will only take written questions, she said. Martz has faced questions over actions with a close associate who was involved in a fatal car accident. She also is the subject of a probe into political fundraising activities conducted out of her office. Get the Story:
