Navajo Area IHS runs out of flu shots for public

The Navajo Area of the Indian Health Service has run out of flu shots for the general public. Only high risk cases will receive the vaccine.

Area hospitals and clinics are seeing record numbers of flu cases, said Dr. Douglas Peter, chief medical officer for the area. He said the IHS has given 65,000 flu shots this year, a record number.
