An organizer for the Thunder in the Desert pow-wow in Tucson, Arizona, is seeking volunteers for the 12-day event that will ring in the New Year.

Fred Synder says he needs people to provide housing for dancers who are coming from as far away as Africa. He also need donations for meals for participants.

Thunder in the Desert starts December 31 and will run until January 11.
