Indian Affairs panel had placed hold on Anderson
Monday, November 17, 2003
The Senate Indian Affairs Committee has lifted an "administrative" hold on Bureau of Indian Affairs nominee Dave Anderson. The committee had approved Anderson by a 13-0 vote last month. But it placed a hold to get more information on Anderson, a spokesperson for Sen. Mark Dayton (R-Minn.) said. The nomination would now go to the full Senate for confirmation. Anderson, a resident of Minnesota, is founder of the Famous Dave's barbecue chain of restaurants. Get the Story:
