Ceremony marks return of ancestors to Haida Nation
Monday, October 20, 2003

Members of the Haida First Nation of British Columbia, Canada, reclaimed their ancestors from Chicago's Field Museum on Friday.

The tribe held a ceremony to bring the 160 remains back home. The bones were taken from Queen Charlotte Islands at the turn of the century.

The tribe says it will try to reclaim ancestors and other artifacts from museums around the world.
