Ex-BIA employee sentenced to prison for bribery

A federal judge in New Mexico sentenced ex-Bureau of Indian Affairs Herman G. Fisher to 15 months in prison for demanding, receiving and accepting bribes. Fisher worked in the BIA's contracting office. He was accused of taking $300,000 in kickbacks from a business owner who was providing school buildings to the BIA. Get the Story:
