First woman appointed to Navajo Nation Supreme Court

Claudeen Bates Arthur, an attorney, is the first woman to be nominated to the Navajo Nation Supreme Court. Arthur still has to be confirmed by the Navajo Nation council. She would replace Chief Justice Robert Yazzie, who is retiring. Get the Story:
