Tribal members protest Stillaguamish leadership

Members of the Stillaguamish Tribe of Washington protested against their leaders on Monday. Tribal members say the chairman and two other officials are benefiting from a smoke shop on tribal land. They want revenues generated to go to the tribe. Some tribal members are also upset over the tribe's plans to build a casino. Tribal leaders tore down tribal housing and relocated some tribal members but the $36 million deal fell through. According to The Seattle Times, the dispute has driven some members to enroll with the Tulalip Tribes. Get the Story:
