State, tribe mum on discovery of remains at worksite
Friday, September 12, 2003

The state of Washington and the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe have reached an agreement on the handling of remains found at a large construction project.

The state and the tribe won't discuss what was found at the site. But some say the discovery could stop the $275.6 million reconstruction of a bridge altogether. Work has been halted since late last month.
