Okla. Indian students awarded most Gates scholarships

The Gates Millennium Scholarship has awarded 45 scholarships to Indian college students in Oklahoma, the most of any state in the nation. The awards, totaling about $308,800, have earned Oklahoma the title of "model state." Students can use the money to cover unmet college tuition needs. The program, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation of Microsoft fame, is helping 150 Indian students attend college this year. Get the Story:
