Tulalip Tribes offer tutoring during teacher strike

The Tulalip Tribes of Washington aren't letting a teachers' strike in Marysville stop the learning experience. The tribes will offer free tutoring, plus cultural activities and language instruction, to everyone in the community. John McCoy, a state legislator and a general manager for the tribe, said the program will keep kids occupied. Public schools in Marysville are closed this week due to the strike. Teachers are resisting an attempt to change their pay structure. Get the Story:
