NPS says repair budget won't go to consultants

The National Park Service won't use repair budget money to pay consultants who are studying outsourcing of federal jobs, director Fran Mainella said. Mainella said reports of diverted funds were "not true," according to The Washington Post, despite memos to staff warning that budget cuts were being made to pay for the consultants. She added that it would be two years before any jobs at one Mount Rainier National Park would be considered for outsourcing, The Post reported. Get the Story:
