A 16-year-old boy from the Leech Lake Ojibwe Reservation in Minnesota could be charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Investigators think the gun used to shoot Donald A. Kamrowski Wednesday night at a drinking party may have been used in a gang-related shooting on the reservation that occurred earlier this month.

The reservation is a hotbed for violence, according to federal authorities. The Department of Justice has targeted the Leech Lake, Red Lake and White Earth reservations in an anti-gang program.
