Schemitzun, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation's annual pow-wow and Feast of Green Corn and Dance, gets underway today.

The pow-wow is in its 12th year. It attracts some of the best dancers and drum groups in the U.S. and Canada, along with thousands of visitors.

The pow-wow runs through Sunday.
