Native groups nominated for 2004 JUNO Awards

A diverse group of performers is up for the Aboriginal Recording of the Year in the 2004 Juno Awards in Canada. Singer Susan Aglukark was nominated for the contemporary "Big Feeling." Burnt out of Manitoba was recognized for its diverse styles on "Burnt Project 1 'The Avenue.'" Eagle & Hawk mixes pop-rock and Native music on "Mother Earth." Sandy Scofield sings in her language on "Ketwam." And drum group Whitefish Jrs. from the Big River First Nation in Saskatchewan was nominated for "In Honour Of Percy Dreaver."
