BLM orders study for project impacting Crow sites

Representatives the Crow Tribe of Montana welcomed the Bureau of Land Mangement's decision to order a a full environmental impact statement for a road project impacting sacred Crow sites. The BLM is being asked to approve a road widening through land that was once part of the Crow Reservation. The area includes an ancient trail that contains burials and healing sites, the head of the tribe's cultural committee said. The cost of the EIS will be paid by R.L.F.
